Blair Drummond Safari Park is one of the most popular family days out in Scotland and is definitely not one to be missed if you are travelling with little ones. You can discover a vast array of animals and environments across the park, right from the comfort of your own car.
Visit a drive-thru with a difference as you enter the cheeky monkey’s enclosure, which are famed for causing mischief for their visitors, or walk freely with the friendly lemurs in Lemur Land. Kids can burn off some energy in the adventure play area, and a restaurant, café and snack bars are all available to serve up some delicious locally sourced meals.
On a visit to Blair Drummond Safari Park, you will have the chance to see a huge variety of exotic animals. Look in awe at the beautiful elephants, learn about the lives of the resident penguins, and if you’re lucky you might even catch a lion’s roar. There are four drive-through wildlife reserves for you to explore in your own vehicle.
The Macaque Drive-Thru is optional, so if you don’t like the idea of the monkeys climbing on your bonnet, you can sit that one out. In addition to the monkeys, the wildlife reserves will take you to see rhinos, zebras, camels, lions, camels, antelopes and loads more. For those adventurous visitors, you can take boat trip around Chimp Island, and there are also various sea lion presentations taking place every day.
Blair Drummond Safari Park is open daily from 10 am to 5.30pm and tickets start from just £13.50 for children and £16.50 for adults. There is so much to see and do at the park; we recommend you plan a whole day to really explore everything it has to offer.
There is locally sourced and freshly prepared food and drink available throughout the park, and visitors are also welcomed to bring their own food. BBQs are also available for visitors to use, but these must be booked on arrival and work on a first come first served basis.
